"Art is not what you see, but what you make others see"
We all went through 2020 and I guess all of us can agree that it was bad, real bad. People dies, economy went up and down, we all learnt a new word- QUARANTINE and yet we couldn't figure out a cure to this virus.
Let's not talk about that year now. this year has been no good, but slightly better. And if we can follow the protocols and do the stuff probably then we might win this year. Leaving all the covid aside, let's now talk about art, my art, and what was different about these 14 months.
When complete lockdown was announced across India, there was panic all around. People were mostly confused and anxious. And no one expected a 14-day lockdown to become a 14-month one.
I somehow managed to pull off a lot of art during these months. I consistently fed my followers on Insta with daily posts, and got a few BIG pieces done too.
Thanks to Keshav's 100 Days of Sketching Challenge, I was motivated to do art for huge part of summer.( It's starting on May 1st this year) I went on tried different styles like- comic, cartoon, animation, painting (courtesy the one and only Bob Ross), cross-over pieces like my Cartoon Network tribute, etc. It was actually a blessing in disguise for artists around the world to work on their skills and make the best out of the time.
My head, like always keeps overflowing with ideas, which I every time fail to collect and store. I may have missed out on a few ideas here an there, but it was a pretty good time for my art. Only if Kesh's course could've come in a little earlier then I could've done better.
Summing it up, I honestly enjoyed practicing my skill and I hope you did too:)
Au Revoir,
Suraj
